The computer vision division treats the topics of object tracking, object recognition and object reconstruction. Building on this, a central topic is the active sensor data selection, which calculates the information theoretic optimal camera actions for these problems. Another topic is the plenoptic modeling of objects and the integration of this data into real images to achieve Augmented Reality. In object classification, appearance based statistical classifiers with color and context modeling are currently under research.
