Research Interest: Image Processing for Phase-Contrast X-ray Imaging

During the last few years, several techniques for measuring the phase contrast of X-rays have been proposed. Compared to conventional X-ray absorption imaging, phase contrast is expected to deliver improved soft-tissue contrast. As with all imaging modalities, the raw data output of phase contrast imaging modalities has to be preprocessed and enhanced. The goal of my PhD projects is to develop novel algorithms for artifact suppression and image quality improvement in X-ray Phase Contrast Imaging.
