Conference
The first Russian-Bavarian Conference on Bio-Medical Engineering was 13.-14.10.2005 in Munich (http://campar.in.tum.de/RBC/Program), the second one on June 15/16 2006 in Moskow (http://www14.in.tum.de/konferenzen/Biomed06/index.html). Following an initiative from Bavarian Government, Moscow Government, Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg, Bauman Moscow State Technical University and Technical University of Munich, the organizing committee of the 3rd Russian-Bavarian Conference on Bio-Medical Engineering invites interested organizations and academic circles to participate in the Conference, which will take place in Erlangen, Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg / Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS, July 2/3, 2007.

Conference on Bio-Medical Engineering aims to provide an exceptional opportunity for Russian and Bavarian scientists to exchange their know-how and build up strong collaborations in one of the most humane field of science and techniques. Bavaria is hosting some of the most advanced academic and industrial research laboratories in the field of bio-medical engineering. Bavaria hosts the head-quarter of Siemens Medical, the largest European research center of GE Medical, the head-quarter of BrainLab, TomTec and many other companies providing advanced medical solutions. Bauman Moscow State Technical University has made particular efforts to create a strong biomedical engineering research cluster in Russia. In the technical university a department and scientific research institute of Biomedical Technique have been created, which cooperates with Russian leading scientific centers and universities. In addition many other scientific departments of university are strongly contributing to the field of biomedical engineering. Many research laboratories and universities in Bavaria focus on different aspects of bio-medical engineering. This conference aims not only at bringing the scientist from Russia and Bavaria together, but also at creating a forum where engineers, scientists, physicians and providers of medical solutions could communicate and establish strong scientific and technical collaboration.
