Florian Kordon joined the Pattern Recognition Lab on May 2019 as a PhD candidate under supervision of Prof. Andreas Maier.

 
He is a graduate in Computer Science in Media (M.Sc., B.Sc.) at Hochschule Furtwangen (Germany) and got a double degree in Project Management and Information Technology (B.A.) at UAS BFI Vienna (Austria).

His research work focuses on the topic “Deep Learning based Segmentation and Landmark Detection on X-ray Images for Trauma Surgery” with emphasis on the creation of a framework which allows automation of surgical plannings and orthopaedic measurements in an interventional setting.
