Seminar Automatic Question Answering Using IBM Watson [SemWatson]Summary
The seminar will focus on the IBM Watson technology that is being used to build question answering system.
The Watson system is quite well known because it was the first system to beat two human experts in the American quiz show "Jeopardy!".
In the seminar, we will investigate natural language processing techniques and the Watson API in particular.
In order to bring this technology also into an applied context, IBM will provide us with access to an Watson Instance that can be used to build own question answering systems embedded into IBM's Bluemix Cloud Architecture.
Registration for the class will occur in the first appointment.

Final Project: Group 1
Watson Interactive Sign Language  In this project, students used IBM Watson Visual Recognition API to develop an IoT application which works based on detection of finger signs and then perform an action accordingly.

Watson SeeFood  In this project, students tried to implement an application through IBM Watson Visual Recognition API take a photo of food with a smartphone, then with the help of Watson API classify the food and then generate food values and nutrition information about particular object.

Watson Language Translator  In this project, students tried to implement a language translator using IBM Watson Translation API to enhance and improve the precision of translation for the complex languages.

Watson Stuttering  This group created a tool to be used by speech language pathologists for analyzing stutter patterns in the speech. They used speech to text API from IBM Watson, to capture the stutters and document all the repetitions to get an idea of the syllables uttered incorrectly most of the time.

Dr. Watson: Social Media Sentiment/Personality Analysis  In this project, students several IBM Watson API's to built a Social Media Sentiment/Personality Analysis application which receive the daily feeds by a user and over the time provide reports about personality insights and sentiment anlaysis.
