I work whithin the research project Theseus-MEDICO. The objective of the project is to build the next generation of intelligent, scalable and robust search engines for the medical imaging domain.The sub-project I'm working on is image understanding. The aim is to automatically provide a textual description of what a medical image shows. These descriptions can be generated for large image databases in order to provide semantic image search. I'm focussing on CT images, and in particular on three topics:
