Hyperspectral cameras are a core technology in remote sensing. Recently, multispectral and hyperspectral sensors became increasingly applicable to other fields, e.g. cultural heritage and medical diagnosis. A camera that can see more information than the human eye is fascinating. My vision is that we can access this unseen information easily and intuitively with the help of novel processing and visualization systems.
About Me
I am a researcher at the LME and part of the 
Computer Vision group. I studied Computer Science (German diploma) at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU) with a visit to Stony Brook University (SUNYSB) for my diploma thesis.
I am also part of the DFG Research Group 
Heterogeneous Image Systems in the project C2: Multispectral Data Analysis.
I participate in teaching regularly for the lecture Wavelet Transformation in Image Processing, and occasionally for the lectures Computer Vision and Computer Science for Engineers. I like to share knowledge and spend some leisure time on Stack Overflow. It's a much better way of taking a break than surfing cat pictures.
