Dipl.-Inf. Johannes Jordan

Alumnus of the Pattern Recognition Lab of the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg

Hyperspectral cameras are a core technology in remote sensing. Recently, multispectral and hyperspectral sensors became increasingly applicable to other fields, e.g. cultural heritage and medical diagnosis. A camera that can see more information than the human eye is fascinating. My vision is that we can access this unseen information easily and intuitively with the help of novel processing and visualization systems.

Projects

Gerbil – Multispectral Image Analysis Framework

Gerbil is an open-source project targeting researchers working with multispectral or hyperspectral images, or doing research and teaching in color and reflectance. The software consists of a new interactive visualization tool designed for multispectral and hyperspectral image data, and a toolbox of common algorithms, e.g. for preprocessing and segmentation.

The goal of blind image forensics is to assess authenticity and origin of digital images without an embedded security scheme. In this project we investigate a wide range of "attack points", ranging from copy-move forgery detection to the exploitation of reflectance properties in the scene.
