Dipl.-Ing. Marc AubrevilleResearcher in the Computer Vision (CV) group at the Pattern Recognition Lab of the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-NürnbergCurriculum vitaeMarc Aubreville graduated in electrical engineering and information technology with the focus on biomedical engineering from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in 2009. In his diploma thesis, he applied statistical signal analysis and enhancement methods on intra-cardial electrical signals. Having not only technology but also its application in mind, he completed a professional training as paramedic during this time. He then joined Siemens Audiology Solutions GmbH (now Sivantos GmbH) to work in Research and Development for hearing instrument signal processing in the team of Prof. Dr. Henning Puder. There, he focused on the development of binaural signal processing algorithms, especially beamforming and automatic control algorithms, which were incorporated in the commercially very successful Binax and Primax series of hearing instruments. Further, he was and is involved in designing automatic control algorithms for hearing instruments, which includes automatic scene classification of single (acoustic) and multiple external sources. He authored or co-authored 10 patent applications (as of Dec 2016). In 2016 he joined the Pattern Recognition Lab at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) to pursue research interests in the field of medical image recognition and machine learning. His major research interest is in the field of deep learning techniques on medical images. |
