Object Recoloring Using Reflectance Curves

Abstract

Object recoloring is a popular process in image editing. In order to achieve photo-realistic results, the reflectance properties of the edited object, its interreflections and shadows have to be preserved. Existing approaches decompose the image in multiple parameters according to an underlying physical model. This decomposition is highly under-constrained and the model for interreflections is too restrictive, resulting in inaccurate recoloring results.

To be continued.
